Our paint ensures your hives are a healthy and safe place for your bees and that your garden offers a toxin free haven. Beekeepers often ask, "What should I paint my hives with?". Our answer is simple. Hives should not be painted with products that contain chemicals and synthetic petroleum derived ingredients. Latex and acrylic paint are petroleum based and often contain BPA's, parabens, phthalates, PFASs and many other harmful chemicals and endocrine disruptors. When these paints break down over time, they create microplastic that sticks to bees and is then distributed to their honey and wax. Helena This is so far the most trusted paint that I have found and I thank the makers of it ! Making 100% pure soaps and skin care products myself, I can easily tell ( just from the smell ) that Pure Paint Lab formulated their paints with only natural ingredients . I used these paints for my beehives , bird houses, planters , my work areas , bedrooms and gifting my sister for her cat houses . I highly recommend their paints to anyone. The price is just a bit higher but their paint last so much longer . After all , you win and we all cause it is not only great for our health, it is excellent for our environment !
